Veneers
A porcelain veneer is designed to be placed over the exterior of a tooth to change its appearance. It can be used to cover stains and chips, to correct misalignment, and to make the tooth appear straighter.
Veneer placement usually requires the removal of a small amount of enamel prior to the placement of the veneers. Placement is usually done in a two-stage process. In the first step, impressions of your teeth are taken and sent to a dental laboratory to be used to produce the veneers. In the second step, the veneers are cemented in place on your teeth.
Lumineers
Lumineers are very thin veneers that can be placed without removing enamel or the use of local anesthetic. Ask your dentist if you may be a candidate for Lumineers.
Contouring and Bonding
Contouring and bonding treatments are used to reshape a tooth or remove chips and stains. Contouring is the removal of tiny amounts of enamel using special tools, and bonding is the use of dental resin to cover an area of a tooth. With these treatments we can change the appearance of a tooth that doesn’t require veneers or cosmetic crowns.
Ceramic Crowns
Very damaged, discoloured, or misshapen teeth can be enhanced with a ceramic cosmetic crown. These crowns are designed to resemble one of your natural teeth almost perfectly.
